Is your Avast software up to date here is how to check and see.
Left click the Avast icon at the bottom right hand side
That will open up this screen
Now click Maintenance to see this screen
If your version is not 8.0.1489 you need to click Update Program
You will more than likely have to restart your computer after it updates.
Stay just with the free version they will try to get you to choose the other one and at the end they will want you to take a 45 day trial I did not take either one of those. I'm satisfied just with the free version.
